/ How much is it going to cost to fix my equipment?

We charge a fair rate to all our customers because we want you to come back and use us again and to recommend us to your mates.

We will provide an estimate based on the symptoms you describe and will even come and have a look for free if you are unsure. This figure is usually fairly accurate, based on our knowledge of most common faults.

When we are able to look inside the unit we can give a definite costing.
If this cost is found to be higher than initially estimated we will get in touch and discuss with you if you still want the job done.
[There will be a nominal charge of £20.00 to contribute towards labour, collection and redelivery if you decide at this point not to continue.]

/ When will you come and pick the item up?

We do a daily collection run across the city between 7pm and 9pm. This is free on Wednesdays and only £5.00 per journey through the rest of the week, including Sat/Sun.
If you have a special request, we will always try to accommodate it!

/ How long can I expect the repairs to take?

Usually we carry out work within 48 hours, as we hold most parts for common repairs and modifications. If we have to source for a specific problem there will be a longer turn-around time.

If you need the equipment for a gig or party – make sure you let us know, we will work around you!

/ Are you qualified to service my precious decks?!

Of course we are! Our engineer is fully qualified and has years of experience servicing and designing electronics.

We guarantee that your equipment will come back looking great and sounding great!

/ Who takes responsibility if there is damage to my equipment in transit?

If we are colllecting your equipment, we will sort out any damage caused in transit. If the decks are shipped by a third party courier, you need to ensure they are insured for their value.

If there is any damage in transit via a courier, we will be happy to write a letter detailing any associated costs.

/ I have several items that require fixing, or me and a friend want to club together with several items. Do we get a discount?

YES! When you contact us with two or more items to work on we will gladly give you an even better price. Get all the gear together at one address and we will check and collect the whole lot at once. We can still bill each person individually.

/ What if the equipment is beyond reasonable repair?

In some cases it is possible that the equipment is not repairable.
We will almost always be able to tell you this before we take it away.
[ Most direct drive turntables are repairable at reasonable cost.]

/ What does ‘beyond reasonable repair’ mean?

It means that the cost for parts and labour will exceed the replacement cost of the item.

/ What if the same problem comes back again?

Our work is guaranteed for a year. If, in the unlikely event that a problem comes back after we have fixed it, we will sort it out for free.

/ Why would I want to modify my decks?

Some of our modifications are aimed at making the equipment look good; it's as simple as that!

Most, however, are performance enhancing and are designed to make the equipment function better. See the arrowmodification page for details.

/ What if I don’t like the modifications done to my equipment?

Unfortunately we can not revert a modification free of charge. We can convert back easily, but you will foot the bill. Please talk to us and find out exactly what you will get to ensure you want the modification before it is done.
